Wedding Ring Quilt

The wedding ring quilt is a stunning and intricate textile creation, renowned for its distinctive design. This quilt not only serves as a decorative piece but also carries deep symbolism, making it a cherished keepsake for weddings and anniversaries. Below are some detailed aspects of this exquisite quilt:
Materials and Colors
Primary Color: A lovely shade of yellow that radiates warmth and joy, evoking feelings of happiness and celebration.
Accent Color: Off white rings that provide a soft contrast to the bright yellow, enhancing the quilt's elegance and charm.
Construction Challenges
Creating this quilt was a delightful yet challenging endeavor, as it involved several intricate steps:
Cutting out numerous arcs and oblongs with precision, ensuring that each piece would fit perfectly into the overall design.
Using special templates to achieve accurate shapes, which required careful planning and attention to detail to maintain the quilt's symmetry.
Design Features
The wedding ring pattern is celebrated for its interlocking circles, symbolizing unity and love between partners. The harmonious combination of yellow and cream not only enhances the quilt's visual appeal but also creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal keepsake for special occasions. This quilt serves as a timeless reminder of love and commitment, beautifully crafted to be cherished for years to come.
The quilting was done in a studio - Baani Quilts and Fabrics, based in Pune. Since it is such a large quilt (queen size) it needs that big a machine to quilt. It is called the long arm machine, and trained specialists do the quilting. It was beautifully and intricately done by Manisha, the owner of Baani.
This will be my most memorable quilt and I am very proud of the work I have done, since many a seasoned quilters don't attempt this challenging pattern.
